Start Listening to your Self.

Is new semester going to start soon? Have to select the Major? Confuse about it?

Let’s get this together! You want to know which field is better for you or in which field you will be better both are the same questions from different angles. Some people have very common yet strange mentality of choosing a specialization. They have some sort of thinking that this major will be better for them as well coz:
  1. Major is also picked by one of the inspiring seniors
  2. You get better marks in it
  3. Your family or friends pushed you in it
  4. Most of the students are doing
  5. Get a lot of advice to select it
  6. Your elder sibling is also doing same and gets a good career
  7. It’s easy!

And how can we forget the reason for selecting a particular major that my best friend is doing it too? Will selecting a major on these reasons will get you a very good career or technical skills? Major picked on these bases will get you a job from which after 10 years you can’t get bored or tired?

The answer of a wise person is simply NO. Then how to select a major? The question still stands! The answer is very simple to listen to yourself.
  • It’s your life.
  • You are going to pay the fee.
  • You are going to face the consequences either you succeed or fail.
  • You are responsible for it.
  • You have to make your life with it. Etc.

When everything is related to you LOL, why don’t you listen to yourself while selecting the major? Following are the steps to sort this out:
  1. Find your hidden capability by seeing in yourself which subject you love to study. Either it's marketing or finance or human resource or medical or engineering whatever it is. And go for it.
  2. Then find some specialties in that major you select focus on it. E.g. being a Finance student you can be either Chartered Accountant, Management Accountant, Data analyst etc. keep this in the start of your major selection. Coz you have to opt one of the specialties in more advanced studies. If you want to study finance and not want to select any of these specialties then believe me you have to change your major.
  3. Then search some careers available to you with your end specialty. Is there the charm still available or not. If not then change your major.

These simple three steps will help to select you your major subject.
But if you can’t focus enough in selecting above three then you have other ways to select your major as well:
All the steps are mentioned on top.

Kindly give your reviews about it, beneficial for future writings.
